Activities
1. Awareness Program: Hope of Life/Hope Orphanage Trust conducted various awareness programmes within the District.
2. Swachh Bharat and swachchata action plan: Swachh Bharat was organised regularly in the Home cleaning inside and outside the gate and the surrounding of the Home.
3. Vocational Training: Vocational training programme on tailoring, computer, music, pickle making, art and craft, cards making and hair cutting was given in the Home.
4. Talk on positive behaviour: Talk on positive behaviour was given by Rev. L.E Jyrwa and other Resource Persons on various issues for the children for the all age groups to enable children to be in a positive way and how they behave with elders.
5. Study Tour, Picnic and Excursions: Children were taken to study tour, picnic and excursions in many different places.
6. Painting/Drawing Competition: Painting and drawing competition was organised regularly in the Home. Mr Phalnester Lyngdoh has won many prizes in painting. He represented the District many times in various painting competitions
10. Children’s week Children’s Day Celebration: Children actively participated in the programmes and activities conducted which included extempore speech, songs, dance, sports and games.
11. Sports and Games: Various sports and games were organised for the children.
11. Visitors: Officer Club and other offices within the District visited the Children Home during Independence, Republic and Children’s Day. Friends and well-wishers also visited the Home
Success Stories
1. Two children who were taken care of in Hope of Life have completed their Postgraduate studies and they are currently teaching; one in the college and one in school. One of the children has completed General Nursing and Midwifery from a government nursing school by merit. One is running a tailoring shop.
2. Hope of Life has created a milestone by establishing a Counselling Center through its branch namely Life Care Foundation
